Tube Investments of India, one of the India’s
reputed engineering company, selected Net Access, to lead TII’s
Network Operations, to design, implement and manage an Internet VPN
across 13 manufacturing facilities, marketing offices in a
multi-year deal. |
| Solution |
Net Access delivered the solution, which incorporated
MPLS VPN across TII's 13 locations throughout India. Net Access’s
unique Network Performance and Optimization skills allowed it to
offer a cost effective solution in every location, selecting the
optimal existing physical network of the TII’s IT assets. Net
Access utilized around 4 different carriers to provide a solution
aligned with TII’s business requirements. The deal followed a
pilot project in which TII was impressed with the technical ability
of the Net Access team, and the speed at which they were able to
connect and configure a diverse range of sites. Net Access’s
service focused approach combined with the focus on client’s need
rather than maintenance of physical networks, helped to offer better
solution. |

Lift and Transportation and Contract Logistics. |

Implementation of Active Directory and Exchange
Implementation with Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition and Exchange
2007 Standard Edition on IBM Blade Servers and IBM NetApps SAN. |
| Background |
JTC was having a workgroup solution with no central
administration control like Active Directory. There were no security
policies in place. Email solution was outsourced to a third party.
No central database to control email communication. No backup
solutions for critical servers were in place. Centralized console
for preventing virus was not in place. |
| Solution |
JTC servers were deployed in Zajil Internet Data
Center, Kuwait with full power backup and cooling. Configured IBM
Blade Center and NetApps SAN for the servers and storage with one
hot spare server. JTC servers were connected to external storage
with fiber channels with RAID 6 SAN, so as to ensure data
availability and security. Implemented Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for
backup of servers. Implemented Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition for
domain controller and additional domain controller for central
resource management. Primary DNS and Secondary DNS planned for
redundancy. Configured Exchange 2007 Standard solution for email
communication. Configured in such a manner that one server acts as a
client access and hub transport server and other server acts as a
mailbox server. Four of JTC sites were linked with 2Mbps DSL Link.
Deployed firewall before servers to ensure network security. |

With Active Directory JTC have a central database to
control the users and apply security policies over organizational
units. With Exchange 2007 email solution JTC has a central database
to control email communication with other features like transport
rules, journaling, mailbox policies, control over spam mails. With
Symantec Endpoint JTC has central antivirus mechanism to administer
problems related to viruses. With Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 JTC has
backup for all critical servers |
