Qualifications:

Job Summary:
The Google Workspace and Linux Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s Google Workspace environment and Linux-based systems. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficient operation of these systems to support the organization’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Google Workspace Administration:
- Manage user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
- Configure and maintain Google Workspace services (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.).
- Implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
- Provide support and training to end-users on Google Workspace tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Google Workspace issues.
- Linux System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Implement security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
- Perform regular backups and develop disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Integration and Automation:
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation of administrative tasks (e.g., using Bash, Python).
- Integrate Google Workspace with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Ensure seamless operation between Google Workspace and Linux environments.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Google Workspace:
- Proficiency in managing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) environments.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace APIs and tools for automation.
- Understanding of Google Workspace security and compliance features.
- Linux:
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Knowledge of network protocols and security practices.
- General IT Skills:
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
